Making Tracks on San Francisco Bay, Baja and the Atlantic
There was a pleasant gap in the gray, wet, cool weather on Sunday, so we took advantage of the opportunity for a simple Bay sail with our daughter and friends. Warm air, pleasant breeze and strong ebb were there for us and a few others out enjoying the day.
Others Making Tracks Today
- The postponed, grand prix, solo Route du Rhum sets off today from Saint-Malo. You can follow their tracks here. This is going to be fun to watch. Read Ronnie Simpson’s report from Monday.
- The mellow, final leg of the Baja Ha-Ha starts today. You can follow their tracks here.
- We’re hoping Hurricane Nicole is the last gasp of hurricane season and that she doesn’t cause major damage, but it’s a big worry. You can view on Windy here or the National Hurricane Center here.
If you’re out making tracks in Mexico or along the California coast, send us some pics from your sail at [email protected]. You’ll likely end up in our next edition of Sailagram.
Parting shot. The evening after the Baja Ha-Ha fleet set sail, we were out for a walk and noticed everyone pointing their phones to the sky. It must have been one of the most photographed sunsets ever.
