28 FT Islander 1981
The Islander 28 was designed by Bob Perry, who has said this was one of his favorite designs. Well maintained, including scheduled professional bottom cleaning, and is sailed regularly. Equipped and ready to go for both daysailing and overnight adventures. Boat can easily be sailed double-handed or single-handed. Boat equipment: Engine: Yanmar diesel 2GM20F (inboard). Headsails: 110 jib (new in 2024). Additional headsails: 135 and blade. Symmetrical and asymmetrical spinnakers. Roller furler. Self-tailing winches for headsail. Mainsail: Replaced in 2014. Rigged with lazy jack system for convenience. Poles: Spinnaker pole and whisker pole. Steering: Wheel, plus Autohelm 3000. Standing rigging: replaced in 2017. Fuel tank: Capacity 20 gal, replaced in 2014. GPS: Garmin 541S.
