“No, I thought you paid the lock keeper!”
“Damn Daylight Savings again!”
My first guess is could be going from sea to lock, tho could be lock to lock. Not anywhere I recognize in Bering Sea w 25’ tides. An inch a minute sometimes!
One friend took the mast off his Hunter 42 in Marseille, and has done over 1,000 locks so far. Currently in Holland.
Looks like we’ve just run out of lock.
“Tink, more Pixie dust!”
Who pulled the plug???
Good ole Jack Testing keel strength again!
Honey, where did you park the boat last night?
“Wait, this is not a ‘flat earth’ simulator” Jack said, drunkenly. He then realized that he had just forgoten to pay the lock keeper.
I think I can make it! I think I can make it! I think I might make it? I don’t think I can make it. Oops…Hello? Is this SeaTow?

Goldilocks, GravLox, Pad Locks, Lock Step, Lock and Load…all report to the School of Hard Locks! This poor blighter is definitely “On-the-Hard-in-the-Lock”!
Well, we talked to the ranger back a few miles, and she told us this was the way to the fish ladder!
I know a short cut you said
You asked if someone could tell you how they got out of this mess. I would say: with patience! This is a location with very high tidal differences. The tide will come back up. And what happened in the first place? My guess: The lock didn’t close for some reason. And bad line handling let the sailors go with the flow until they got stuck – lucky, just in time!
Activate the keel retraction winch….too late!
