No More Kaboom
If you’ve planning to do KFOG’s famous KaBoom, an annual synchronized concert and fireworks display on the Cityfront, you’re going to be sorely disappointed. It seems the skyrocketing costs of organizing the event combined with lowered attendance — which was blamed on the change of venues last year from Pier 30/32 to Candlestick Park — has resulted in its demise. Petaluma or Bust
As any sailor knows, approaching a bridge with a relatively low — but doable — clearance can really get your blood pumping. Taking a Nose Dive
From April 12-15, StFYC organized a training clinic for sailors planning to compete in the Laser Masters Worlds to be held on the Bay August 5-13. Coach Javier ‘Rulo’ Borojovich from the acclaimed Laser Training Center in Cabarete, Dominican Republic worked with 12 sailors in classic summer conditions on the Bay to get them ready for the regatta.
