Winged Stowaway Photo Quiz

This heron found an unusual perch. It’s not exactly a tranquil spot surrounded by nature, but it is shady.

Today’s Photo Quiz comes from Dan Orlando. Can you tell us where is this heron standing? 

All right, that’s pretty easy. It’s obviously perched atop the rudder of a large ship and surrounded by a bunch of zincs. The harder question is what country is the heron in. For the correct answer, check out the photo below. 

Look very, very closely at the underbody of this vessel and you’ll see that the winged stowaway is catching a free ride through the famous Panama Canal, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary this summer.
