Tropical Storm Olaf to Hit Baja

While still picking up the pieces from Hurricane Jimena, which hit Baja and San Carlos/Guaymas, folks on the Pacific Coast of Baja between Turtle Bay and Bahia Santa Maria now have to keep a watch out for Tropical Storm Olaf.

TS Olaf is predicted to come ashore early Sunday morning.

The good news is that Olaf currently only has winds to 40 knots, and that those winds are supposed to drop before it makes landfall. Olaf’s current project course also means that it will hit Baja almost straight on, meaning that it would affect a limited length of the coast.

As was the case with Jimena, rain could create more problems than the wind.
