Sailing Resolutions for 2016

As we slip from November and the conspicuous consumption of turkey and fixin’s into December and the conspicuous consumption of consumer goods, it’s perhaps a good time to look ahead to the following month, when consumption turns to reflection. As 2016 approaches, we take stock of the year that was 2015 and plan for the year ahead.

Will 2016 be the year you try racing? The year you try singlehanding? The year you try to win the Three Bridge Fiasco?

With that in mind, we’d like to ask our readers to share their New Year’s sailing resolutions for 2016. What new adventures do you have planned? What skills will you acquire, what fears will you face, what new destinations will you visit by water? What improvements will you make to your boat? Will 2016 be the year you trade up, trade down, or buy a boat for the first time?

Or will 2016 be the year you go cruising, perhaps starting with the Baja Ha-Ha? What harbors will you visit before 2017?
