A new year means another ‘Round the Island cruise — and a return to Alameda’s tradition of open yacht club hospitality on New Year’s Day.
Rich Jepsen, who has been sailing since he was a child, is the president of US Sailing. He has spent 34 years as managing partner of OCSC Sailing, has spent multiple decades on numerous sailing committees, and has served three separate stints on the US Sailing Board of Directors.
As we head into what will certainly be an interesting and no doubt busy year for many, we're reminded that sailing is relaxing, both on and off the water.
