Master Mariners Regatta

If we had to pick just one event on one weekend to represent the fun, color, spectacle and history of sailing on San Francisco Bay — not to mention some of the coolest people sailing the coolest boats — it would be a no-brainer: the annual Master Mariners Regatta, sailed as always on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend (May 23 this year).

Saturday, May 9, was the date for two YRA Offshore races, the Bluewater Bash and the Duxbury Lightship. S.F. YRA Chair Joe Rockmore was our PRO for both races.

Pac Cup — Who's On First?

Did we win? Are we winning? These comments almost guarantee this individual is competing in a sailboat regatta. The Pacific Cup was first sailed to Hawaii in 1980, envisioned as "The Fun Race to Hawaii."
