In May 2023, we replaced the leaky old Yanmar 3GM on our 1984 Baba 30 sailboat Cetacea with a 10kW electric motor, driven by a 16-cell 48V LiFePO4 lithium battery system that we built ourselves while living on a mooring in Marathon, Florida.
