Sailagram: A Snapshot of April Sailing

By Nicki Bennett | May 5, 2023 |

Although April still had some crazy wet weather, we were able to get out on the water a little and enjoy the variety that comes with sailing.

Get into Racing!
The San Francisco YRA is launching its first-ever Intro to Racing Series in 2026, with the aim of showing new racers the ropes and giving them the confidence to get out there on the start line.

Magazine Features: January 2026

Winners Part 2

42
January means time for everyone to swear that they're actually going to be better about going to the gym this year, time to get some skiing in (if the Sierras actually get any snow) — and the second installation of the Latitude 38 2025 season champs feature.

Pac Cup — Get Ready Early

46
Primavera literally means "spring." The Pacific Cup 2026 starts July 6; that's summertime. The winning strategy is to have the boat, crew and details sorted by spring so you can focus on sailing and doing well this summer.

Baja Bash — Challenges

50
It was to be a routine Baja Bash delivery aboard my friend Manny's SV Dolce Vita, a 47.3-ft Beneteau, from the Sea of Cortez to Emery Cove, San Francisco Bay

Max Ebb — A Little Book

54
Ever since then I've had a new gift in the top position on my wish list: Bernot on Breezes, an unassuming little book on coastal wind patterns.

The Racing Sheet

58
Just because it's the "offseason" doesn't mean that sailing takes any time off. This month's Racing Sheet highlights a collegiate regatta like no other in the form of the Big Sail between Cal and Stanford, along with midwinter racing hosted by Encinal Yacht Club, Island Yacht Club, and San Diego Yacht Club.
