Volvo Race Bids Adeus to Brazil
As we post this edition of ‘Lectronic Latitude, the once-again six-strong fleet of Volvo Ocean 65s is at sea and racing toward the United States. Leg 6 from Itajaí, Brazil, to Newport, RI, got underway yesterday, with the fleet now emerging into pressure after a characteristically light-air struggle away from the Brazilian coast. More »

Island Yacht Club’s 34th Doublehanded Lightship tomorrow has 16 boats signed up, mostly split into two monohull PHRF divisions. One multihull, the ProSail 40 Shadow, is among the entries. Racers are required to comply with the NorCal ORC safety regulations and equipment requirements. More »
