DEFINITIONS FOR YRA RACING AREAS
The following racing areas have been defined by the YRA for the purposes of describing the general geographical location and the marks that may be used in a YRA race. Please refer to the individual sailing instructions for each YRA race for the exact courses. Temporary marks may be used instead of, or in conjunction with, the described marks in any of these YRA Racing Areas. Sailing instructions will be available on the YRA Web site at www.yra.org at least two weeks prior to the start of a YRA race.
BERKELEY CIRCLE (OC) RACING AREA
Includes Marks BOC, COC, DOC, EOC, FOC, GOC, XOC, 8, 15, 17, 12
CITYFRONT RACING AREA
Includes Marks A, X, 16, 6, 18, 17, 21
KNOX RACING AREA
Includes Marks L, N, K, 4, 12, 15, 21, 23
NORTH BAY (NB) RACING AREA
Includes Marks CM2, NG7, NR14, NR12, NR8, NR10, TYC, 14
SOUTH BAY (SB) ALAMEDA SIDE RACING AREA
Races held in this sailing area will use temporary marks in the vicinity of NAS2
SOUTH BAY (SB) SAN FRANCISCO SIDE RACING AREA
Includes Marks AS1, NAS2, W1, XS1, 31, 32, 34, 37
SOUTHAMPTON SHOALS (SH) RACING AREA
Includes Marks N, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21
TREASURE ISLAND (TI) RACING AREA
Includes Marks EOC, 2, 7, 9, 10, 17, 18, 21
Central Bay Marks / North Bay Marks / South Bay Marks
