Doctor’s Orders

August 2 – Pillar Point Harbor

“On July 4th, we had an enjoyable
sail to Pillar Point Harbor. Audrey Coad, one of our crew members
pictured here, had eye surgery to resolve a retina problem. As
part of her recovery program, she had to focus her eyes in a
downward postion for 4 weeks. In order to comply with her doctors
instructions, Audrey enjoys a glass of wine with a straw.”

This report from Myron Eisenzimmer on Mykonos,
a Swan 44.

Reports In

August 2 – Panama

“We have spent the last 2 months on the Caribbean side of
Panama and believe that our fellow cruisers might be interested
in our observations of the Bocas Del Toro region and also of
our experiences of spending part of the summer here.”

So starts the article from Tom and Kathy Knueppel aboard the
San Francisco-based Island Packet 40, Tai Tam. Look for
the whole story in the September issue.

The De-Naming Ceremony
I once met a man in Florida who told me he’d owned 24 different yachts and renamed every single one of them.
