Latitude 38 e-Books from May 2006 through April 2007 were FlipBooks using e-Book Systems' FlipViewer software. What are FlipBooks? An FlipBook is a complete online version of the magazine with page-flipping capabilities. If it's your first time, you'll be asked to download the FlipViewer software. It's free and quick, but check the system requirements first, as older hardware/software may need to be upgraded/updated (scroll down for system requirements). If all is adequately up-to-date on your computer system, you'll be able to browse the magazine online (or download it to your hard drive), and you can flip through the pages just like you would the paper magazine. Features include a tab for the Contents page. Click on that, then click on the story you want to read and you'll be magically transported to that page. You can even bookmark pages yourself! Two versionsThe 'browser version' is available for viewing on the Internet while you're online. You can also download the 'download version' to your hard drive. Stay online while it opens for the first time; thereafter, you can open it on the same computer without being connected to the Internet. We strongly recommend saving a downloaded version on your own computer in case you want to open it in the future. Check out the free ones firstThe May, June, July, August and September 2006 FlipBooks are free, as is the 2007 Sailing Calendar; click on a link below to read them. Please check out one of the free books before purchasing a fee-based back issue (scroll down in the yellow box below to find them). Then you can order a single back issue through PayPal. |
